45th Infantry Division Statistics

Out of about 14,300 soldiers full strength, of whom some 7,500 were front line soldiers, 3,650 were killed, 13,729 wounded, 41,569 injured and 3,615 missing in action for a total of 62,563-among the highest of the war-requiring 24,874 replacements of whom the author was one.  (from Unknown Soldiers, page 413)
